Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 537 (HCMUD 537) is upgrading its billing system to provide a more secure, convenient, and user-friendly experience for residents. The transition will begin after the August 2025 billing cycle. Here’s what you need to know:
Final Bills in Old System – August 2025
The August bills, due September 14, 2025, will be the last issued through the current billing system. During this time, payments can only be made via check or money order, either mailed to the district or delivered to one of the drop-box locations. Accounts will not go through the delinquency process during the transition.
New Billing System – Starting September 2025
Beginning with September bills, all accounts will transition to the new system. Each resident will receive a new account number and a redesigned bill. After the first full billing cycle in the new system, residents will be able to:
- View billing and payment history online
- Pay bills securely using credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express) or electronic checks
- Sign up for convenient options such as auto-draft and text-to-pay
Payment Options
The new system will offer multiple ways to pay your bill:
- Online or by phone using credit/debit card or electronic check
- Text-to-pay from your mobile device
- Auto-draft from your account
- Third-party payment locations, including Walmart and Western Union
- Traditional check payments via mail or drop boxes
Please note: Any fees associated with third-party payment processing are collected by the vendor and not the district or Si Environmental.
